Sunday at Chor Bazar, Mumbai
It's hot, crowded, dusty, stuffy and a whole lot of adjectives. But it's one of those streets you could visit probably once, cos everyone talks about it. About the quaint little nondescript shops with curious stacked over antiques stacked over furniture. Go here with no high expectations, you never know when the little ceramic pot or mask in the dingy corner might catch your fancy, and make it worth your visit. You can round off the afternoon with good food and chilled beer at Cafe Mondegar in Colaba.
A similar, but less 'famous' is the Oshiwara furniture market. If it's antique finish furniture you're looking for, Oshiwara has a lot more shops and not as expensive.
